Everything you need to know for your safety
Kitesurfing and Wingfoil are water and aeronautical sports activities.
In order to comply with the Sports Code imposing an insurance obligation, we are affiliated with AFKite which has taken out a group insurance contract on behalf of its members.
This insurance is therefore mandatory. We have also negotiated optional options: individual accident, passenger transport, search, rescue, assistance, repatriation... valid in France and abroad, at sea and in the mountains to practice with a free mind.
As everyone practices at different times of the year, and the seasons are not the same around the world, membership is renewable every 12 months from date to date. You are not committed to tacit renewal.
It is up to you to express your wish to renew your membership each year.

Your safety is our priority!
Why learn kitesurfing at our school? Because you will have at your disposal a personalized course and competent instructors to teach you the basics of kitesurfing and Wingfoil: from knowing the weather to choosing the spot, from learning takeoff to landing. These are techniques that you cannot learn alone.
Generally, it will take you between 3 and 4 sessions to learn to navigate safely.

INSURANCE PLANS AND PRICES
Compulsory RC and options
From €25/year to ride all year round with peace of mind
Kitesurfing and Wingfoil are specific activities very often excluded from classic insurance contracts (RC).
The sports code and current legislation require you to take out specific insurance for aero-towed sports. Find all the AFKite membership options with our broker specializing in sports and aeronautical risks:

From 25€/year .
The Oléron Gliss Center school is affiliated with AFKite (French Kite Association), so before your course you must take out your student insurance online, valid for 365 days worldwide, at a cost of €25. If you think you will be practicing outside of a school, take out the practitioner insurance at €35.

We advise you to take out optional IA (individual accident) insurance covering your personal injuries (+€30) and repatriation (+€4).
YOUR IKO INTERNATIONAL KITE PASS
Tracking your progress attesting to your level
Benefit of AFKite membership: KITEPASS
In addition to being insured for civil liability, our school, a member of the IKO network, will provide you with a KITEPASS , i.e. a level card which will allow you to monitor your progress.
This card is recognized worldwide in IKO centers and will allow you to certify your level to other French schools or during your trips abroad.
